I wonder if anyone still even remembers they have these old blogs. I used my google reader or something to keep track of all the blogs I followed. Eventually the service went away and I couldn't keep up anymore.

Today was productive. I have been complaining there isn't enough light for me to see what I am making on my work table. So Bill built me a light out of old pallets to hang over my table. Its really pretty.

I was able to get a few Christmas tree ornaments made from forks. My display tree looks terribly empty so I need to get to bending some forks.

I was also able to fill up my 2 new display boards with products. My goal is to have everything I have made packaged and ready to go for Saturdays show. I have gotten a number of half done projects finished so I am beyond excited.

We took the kids to the beach for about an hour this afternoon. They had a blast but the water was freezing. My favorite part was watching Tanner take out Bill's legs while he was trying to us his boogie board.

Tobin caught a few waves. They all had a blast. It was definitely a day filled with memories.

Wow....so 2015 was my last post. I remember posting as much as possible making scrapbook pages. So much has happened in 6 short years. Lets see....we moved to Florida and bought a house, I made a career change, my husband passed away, the world shut down for a pandemic, and now I have been trying new Pinterest things at home with my kids. I rarely ever get to scrapbook anymore but I am still being crafty. My new job is making jewelry and other home décor out of silverware. I love it and before Covid happened, it paid my bills.  I guess I will restart with some pictures of what I have made recently.

Most of these got made and packaged this week. Everything is made from forks, spoons and knives. I love the little dog and cat houses. They are made from knife handles and pressed pennies.

So there is a peek at what I have been doing lately. I hope to make this a regular thing again. Yall stay safe out there....life can be insane.

Craft of a different color

As most of you know I have moved to Orlando Florida and can now go to Disney world whenever I want. I also work at Michael's craft store. There comes a time when your love of a craft mixed with work will burn you out. I have reached that point with scrapbooking. I want to do it but I seem to have lost my passion for it.

Enter new craft......Jewelry. Not just jewelry but silverware jewelry. The best part is my husband and I do it together and I get to play with power tools. Not to mention people actullay like them and want to own their own. So we made an etsy shop called The Open Bottle. Here is some of what we have made.

Dont you just love them!!!!!!

Broke Down

I finally broke down and started an Etsy shop. Hubby finally gave me some rules on my crafting. Because I have not been competing anymore I have not been getting anything free anymore. So need less to say Hubby said I have to make my own money to buy craft supplies.

This week I opened a shop and have a few things in it. Take a look if you are surfing.

My new craft room

I have been working on getting my craft room in our new house put together. It is not done and not clean but I wanted to show it off.

These are most of my paper pads. They are labeled on the side by their name and company.
Hubby built my desk. Perfect fit!!!

Just a layout

I made this layout just to make it. I did use the sketch from Disney Scrappers but that is all. I dont have any challenges to enter it. Just a layout I made this week.

Order of the Opus Gluei

I am not a painter or some one who can draw but my room mate can make some amazing stuff. When she saw the challenges I entered she wanted to do 1. Well over at Order of the Opus Gluei the challenge is flowers. She decided to get to work and this is what she came up with!

Creative Scrappers

I love how this turned out. I used a picture of hubby from last years food and wine festival at Epcot and the sketch from creative scrappers. I did make all of the cut files myself. Bier Trinken means drink beer in German.

One Upon a Sketch

I decided to give the challenger at One Upon a Sketch a try. Along with using the sketch the prompt was to scrap something life changing. To me it is not always the big events that can change you but the small ones as well.  Many people have fears, being able to pass by them and try something new is a huge deal.

This Layout Also Qualifies For:
Frosted Design: Handwriting plus inks

Hint #2

I used the sketch at Sketch N Scrap of this layout. This is my little plug for earth day (even if it was yesterday). Those are the wheels off of my boys' broken toys. I also used the pop song for May at A Song for A Page. Let's see if anyone can guess it?

UPDATE: this layout won at Sketch N Scrap!
