Memories

Here is another layout I made of the store opening. I started with scrap fits challenge of use a pattern paper background. I did not even touch card stock for this on. If you have been paying attention you can see that I have been leaving the journaling tags blank. I want the store manager to write in her thoughts. So far she has been thrilled with the first few pages I finished. With inventory this week I hope I can get a least a little bit of scrapping in.

Details:
Patterned Paper: Totally boy stack
Flowers: Recollections
Card stock die cut embellishments: from the pack at Michaels in with family stickers.

Fun and Games

This week at SOUS the the die cut challenge is put me in couch. It gave me the perfect idea for one of the new store layouts. There was a wheel you would spin to win prizes and even an expression 2. They also had craft areas. I scrap lifted a layout that I have loved for a long time I just dont know who made it or where is it from, but I saved it to my computer and I smile every time I see it.

Details:
Everything is old stash. I know at least some of it is from the Simply Delightful stack. Most of the other paper is from my scrap pile.
Twine: stampin up
Tickets: That is a stamp I got on clearance from Hobby Lobby forever ago.

This layout also Qualifies for:
Scrap Fit: twine

Celebrations

I am stepping out of my safety spot on this layout. I am pretty happy with how it turned out. The cake is to celebrate the new store opening and the store managers birthday. I again got the sketch from Sketch Savvy. I love her stuff. To make it more interesting I found a challenge that you have to use stuff from your stash that is at least 2 years old. It was listed on Disney Scrappers. Even though I didn't scrap Disney I still used the challenge.

Details:
Paper: DCWV Cotton Bloom Stack
Letters: came from a  scrapbook accessory kit I got at Tuesday Morning about 3 years ago
Chip Board Flowers and Circles: I also got them in a glitter and foil embellishment kit from Tuesday Morning about 3-4 years ago.

This layout qualifies for:
Polka Doodles: Flowers

End of summer

The challenge this week at Lasting Memories layout challenges is summers end. This year my summer has ended with the opening of a new store in Charlotte. I was able to get my hands on some pictures of the store before the product was brought in. It will NEVER be this neat and tidy again. I was able to use a sketch from Sketch Savvy. If you have never been there you should definitely check it out. One of my go to sites when I hit a wall.

This layout also qualifies for:
Clear It Out Challenges: inspiration (create a project based on something that inspires you-a card, a person, a place, anything)- My inspiration was work (I work at Michael's, how can I not be inspired?)
ColourQ: Crumb Cake, Basic Grey, Bermuda Bay, Gumball Green, White

Pink boy layout

I have been really enjoying the wonderful weather outside. Some how I have been getting inspired by all the flowers and colors. We will be going to Disney World for spring break in less then 3 weeks. So I have been getting out pictures from years past to try and get them scrapped. I took the colors from the Truely Madly Crafty challenge and used my DCWV Blossom Song stack. I love that I was able to use pink on a little boy layout!

Epcot

These pictures were taken back in 2009 at the Epcot flower festival. We get to go back for spring brake this year so I wanted to start getting the old pictures scrapped. Now remember I had my old crappy camera when I took these.

It has been a long time since I did a color challenge so I went with color throwdown this week. I enjoyed using girlie colors. I don't get to do that much...lol.

2 in 1 week

Wow!!! I am loving this!!!!! I had a ton of fun making this layout. This weeks song at Scrapping the music is Who Says by Selena Gomez. I have to admit I love this song, but I wouldn't be me if I didn't try to take a unique look at the song. At first I went through all my pictures trying to "feel the sap". Then I read the lyrics and saw the line..."Who says you’re not presidential?" I remembered seeing this picture of a project my little sister did at school umpteen gazillion years ago. Then I went online in search of pictures of the real Bush from 1988. This weeks sketchabilities sketch ended up being perfect.

Details: All of the patterned paper is from my Minds Eye (different pads)
All of the die cuts are by K&Company

Im Back

I have been away for far too long. I have been teach so many people how to scrap book that I have not been able to do it for myself. Well Guess what!!!!! I made a layout for myself yesterday for some challenges. I am super excited. I will have to warn you that my computer did crap out a few weeks ago and I got a new one that has windows live and I am trying it for the first time. We will see how this works.

I used the layout sketch from Creative Scrappers. Then I was able to use ScrapFit’s challenge. They wanted you to be inspired by the Pat Benatar song Love is a Battlefield. As you can see I chose the line “help me to know”. I used these adorable pictures of my now 13 year old son with my Dad. They were outside of my parents house and my father was trying to teach Trey how to blow bubbles. I am pretty happy with how it came out.
