Scrapping the music: Foo Fighters

We celebrated Christmas with my in laws last night and my mother in law got me 3 pads of paper. I couldn't wait to use the Ki funky paper pad. I used the sketch from sketches in thyme to make this layout for scrapping the music. This weeks song is Times like these by the Foo Fighters.

I took this pic of my dad and Tobin heading in to the outlet stores in Orlando. Tobin was all about his Papa that entire week. They were so cute together.

Scrap it with a song: Just the Two of Us

This week the song at Scrap it with a Song is Just the Two of Us by Will Smith. I love this song. I am so glad I was able to find some time to scrap this one. With all my boys I knew I could come up with something. I used the sketch from the scrappiest for some inspiration. All the paper is either stash, scrap or from my simply delightful pad by My Minds Eye.

Suds in the Bucket

This weeks song at Scrapping the Music is suds in the bucket by Sarah Evans. It is kind of a fun song to listen to. I decided to use the line "in the backyard" for my take and combined it with the sketch from Sketchabilities. I might go back and add some journaling to it some day but I kind of like it the way it is. These pics were taken one random day. We were all outside in the back yard playing t-ball. Everything on it is from my stash. The letters are from piggy tails and I don't recommend them EVER! They truly made me mad while trying to us them. All the cuts are paper dolls everyday.

Scrap it with a song: Lucky

This weeks song at Scrap it with a song is Lucky by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat. I have never heard this one but then again I dont get out much...lol. I knew these would be the perfect pics for this song. Tobin and Tanner are the best of friends and the worst of enemies. If you have more then one boy then you know what I mean. The only thing I can tell you about this layout is the paper is basic grey.

UPDATE: This layout won at scrap it with a song!

Scrapping the music

This weeks song at scrapping the music is need you tonight by Inxs. I made a layout of when Tanner first starting feeding himself. I wanted to use a puzzle/game theme (because Tanner thought this was a great game) to the page so I did the title with what looks like scrabble tiles. I don't really care for how this layout came out. I never got an aaahhhhaaaa moment from it where I could see the end result in my head. All I could do was build it. I don't know if that makes sense to anyone or not. Everything on it is from my stash. At the rate I am using my stash I should have it used up by 2015. I need to get a more on....lol.

A Beautiful Sight

This weeks song at Scrap it with a song is Winter Wonderland. I was inspired by one of their DT members named Liz to look beyond just the "snowy" lyrics to use it for something other then playing in the snow. In North Carolina we get snow dustings that last for about an afternoon. One day it will be 32 degrees and snow and we will get 2 inches on the ground. Then the next day it will we 70 out and everything is gone by lunch.

Details:

All the paper is from the Simply Delightful paper pack by My Minds Eye

The title is cut from A Childs Year cart

The journaling is done in Walt Disney font

The buttons are from a Hobby Lobby mixed bag

The ribbon is from Michaels

Ally Scraps and Scrapping the music

This week the song from Scrapping the Music is "Upside Down". This is the theme song from the Curious George movie. I thought this would be a good excuse to finally scrap the pics from Universal Studios where the kids met George. I used the sketch from Alley Scraps for this one. I know I have been working on useing my single page stash but I got this paper from my Play day paper pack by SEI. So I guess technically it is still part of my stash. This font for both the title and journaling is called Brody and it is as close to the Curious George font as I could find.

Chef Mickey's

I am getting around to scrapping more pics from our first trip to Disney in 2008. These are from Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort. I scrap lifted this from one of my favorite blogs... Reddy's Ramblings. She has some great free svg files for Disney. Everything I used was either from my stash or my scrap pile.

8x8 layout

I had to make a small Christmas layout for the classes room window at Michaels because corporate will be visiting the store this week. So I dug through my scraps and some stash and came up with this. I think it came out pretty cute. I used a cut file from Treasure Box.

Halloween layout

I have been working 7 nights a week between Michaels crafts and the Dollar Tree. So on days when I get to stay home I have been all over scrapping. I found this sketch at Stuck Sketches. I know it was a single page but I went a little crazy with it once I started.

These pictures are from 2008 when we went to Universal Studios Orlando. The decorations are fantastic at Halloween time.

Pretty much everything I used for this is from my stash. We are talking about moving so I have decided I need to start using stuff up so I dont have to move as much. Now keep in mind we are talking 3-4 years from now but heaven only knows what I will accumulate by then. Lets see how long with use it up attitude will last....lol.
