2 in 1 week

Wow!!! I am loving this!!!!! I had a ton of fun making this layout. This weeks song at Scrapping the music is Who Says by Selena Gomez. I have to admit I love this song, but I wouldn't be me if I didn't try to take a unique look at the song. At first I went through all my pictures trying to "feel the sap". Then I read the lyrics and saw the line..."Who says you’re not presidential?" I remembered seeing this picture of a project my little sister did at school umpteen gazillion years ago. Then I went online in search of pictures of the real Bush from 1988. This weeks sketchabilities sketch ended up being perfect.

Details: All of the patterned paper is from my Minds Eye (different pads)
All of the die cuts are by K&Company

Im Back

I have been away for far too long. I have been teach so many people how to scrap book that I have not been able to do it for myself. Well Guess what!!!!! I made a layout for myself yesterday for some challenges. I am super excited. I will have to warn you that my computer did crap out a few weeks ago and I got a new one that has windows live and I am trying it for the first time. We will see how this works.

I used the layout sketch from Creative Scrappers. Then I was able to use ScrapFit’s challenge. They wanted you to be inspired by the Pat Benatar song Love is a Battlefield. As you can see I chose the line “help me to know”. I used these adorable pictures of my now 13 year old son with my Dad. They were outside of my parents house and my father was trying to teach Trey how to blow bubbles. I am pretty happy with how it came out.

Guest Designer at Decorate to Celebrate

I was so excited when I was asked to be a guest designer at Decorate to Celebrate this week. It is a great challenge blog that is dedicated to showing off your decorations for every celebration. This weeks theme is a childs party. I decided to have some fun with this and do a party for a girl. With only boys I dont get to do very much princess stuff so I wanted to make a princess party. For my birthday this year one of my friends got me a Paris Hilton paper pack as a joke. What better way to use her paper then to make a crown and pinwheels...lol. Now remember I only have boys so I used the little ones to size the crown. Then they both wanted their pictures taken wearing it and holding the pinwheels. My two little models in training...lol.

Pile it on GDT week 4

I have really enjoyed being a guest designer at Pile it on. The challenges have been so much fun. This week it is circles, circles and more circles. I love how this worked out. I was doing a class demo at Michaels and decided to combine the challenge with the demo and made rosettes for the 4th of July. I have a manager there that I love but she hates scrapbooking. When she saw these she actually said they were cute and ended up using them on her t-shirt display. I LOVE how it came out.
